1. Comment Count
Attach a comment counter to article headlines on your front page, section page, article lists, or page headers to let others see where the conversations are taking place.

2. Trending Articles
Feature stories that are trending on your site in real time, based on either total number of comments, or number of recent comments. This plugin is updated in real time, displaying the most recent results and updates to your audience automatically.

Trending Articles can be set up by to two criteria:
  • Article age, including, for example, articles published within the last 7 days
  • Trend window, the time frame for activities used to determine a trending article

For example, display the articles published within the last 7 days that have received the most comments over the past 5 minutes. 

 

3. Trending Comments
Highlight the comments that are trending on your site in real time, based on your choice of most replies or most likes. Trending Comments can be set up according to a trend window that sets the time period to track for each comment. The Trending Comments plugin highlights an article’s title and, when available, description, and image. Clicking on the comment will direct readers to it, within the commenting section of the article.

For example, display comments with the most replies received within the last 5 minutes. 

 

4. Pull Quotes

Feature a story’s most valuable comment as a pull quote on the body of the article, drawing attention to the story’s comments and increasing engagement. Based on your choice of most liked comment, most replied comment, or newest Editor’s Pick, new pull quotes are only displayed during page loads, and are not refreshed automatically while the user is on the page.

5. Editor’s Pick List

Displays the most recent content that has been marked as an “Editor’s Pick” by a site moderator. Content can be filtered by content type, such as text, video, or image.

6. Recent Comments

Displays the most recent comments authored on your site.

7. Ratings

Allows your users to rate an article page out of five stars, displaying the average rating after the user has rated.
