Note for clients with Login Integrations
If you have integrated Viafoura with another login provider (i.e. Janrain, LoginRadius) then you will need to provide Viafoura with a list of moderator names and emails and we will create these accounts for you so that they can login to http://admin.viafoura.com.
Adding Site Moderators and/or Administrators
As a site administrator, you can assign other site administrators and site moderators. To create a site moderator/admin please follow the steps below:
- Ask your users to sign up with a Viafoura account via email on your live domain (NOT a social login account, unless you want them only to be able to moderate comments at the story level, and not have access to the administration site).
- Once they have created an account, go to the users tab in the admin section and click on the user's name.
- On the user profile, you will see Promote to mod or Promote to admin button, click on this to give another user moderator/admin rights.
Moderators can disable, approve, and promote content, they also get a special badge which displays on the comments they leave.
Administrators can perform all the actions a moderator can, but also has access to the Analytics tab, which shows metrics on community engagement and the Settings tab, which allows you to change site settings (such as allow for premoderation), within the administration site.
